What is Coastle?
Coastle is a daily guessing game for roller coaster fans. Each round, the game secretly picks one coaster from a hand-picked list, and your job is to identify it within six turns. You guess by entering coaster names, and every guess shows how its statistics — country, manufacturer, seating, inversions, height, length, and speed — compare to the hidden answer. Tiles tell you whether each attribute of the answer is higher, lower, a mismatch, or an exact match, so each guess narrows the field. If you get stuck, hints become available after turns 3 and 5. Beyond the daily puzzle, an Endless mode lets you keep playing, with a Harder Endless option for a tougher challenge, and settings include a metric units toggle.
How Coastle works
- Goal
Identify the randomly chosen hidden roller coaster by comparing guessed coasters' statistics against it.
- Your moves
- Search for a coaster by name and select it to guess
- Read the comparison tiles after each guess
- Open the Hint button at rows 3 and 5
- Copy your result to share it
- Toggle Harder Endless mode or metric units in settings
- Reading the feedback
- Higher / lower tile
- The answer's value for that attribute is above or below your guess.
- Match tile
- Your guess equals the answer for that attribute.
- Mismatch tile
- The attribute does not match the answer in any directional sense.
- When a round ends
The round is won by guessing the coaster within six turns; it ends in a loss if the turns run out first.
Your first round
- Type a coaster name into the search box and select the coaster and park to make your first guess.
- Check the tiles for country, manufacturer, seating, inversions, height, length, and speed to see how your pick compares.
- Use the higher, lower, match, and mismatch readings to choose a coaster whose stats fit the pattern.
- If you reach turn 3, click the Hint button next to that row for extra help.
- Keep guessing until you name the coaster or your six turns run out.
Easy to miss
- Hints are tied to specific milestones: they appear after turns 3 and 5, not on demand.
- Some statistics can be null in the data, so a tile may not always give a clear comparison.
- Harder Endless mode and the metric units toggle both live in the settings menu.
- The answer is drawn from a hand-picked list, not every coaster that exists.
Is Coastle for you?
- Roller coaster enthusiasts who know ride stats like height, speed, and inversions
- Players who enjoy Wordle-style deduction with numeric comparisons
- Anyone who wants an endless supply of puzzles beyond the daily one
- Players unfamiliar with coaster manufacturers and ride statistics may find the comparisons hard to act on

Coastle FAQ
Is Coastle free to play?
Yes, it is free and plays directly in a web browser with no purchase involved.
How many guesses do I get in Coastle?
You have six turns per round. The game ends as soon as you guess the coaster correctly or when your turns run out.
When do hints become available?
Hints unlock after turns 3 and 5. A Hint button appears next to those rows, and using it reveals information to help narrow down the answer.
What is Harder Endless mode?
It is a tougher variant of Endless mode that you can toggle in the settings menu, letting you keep playing beyond the daily puzzle with increased difficulty.
Where does the coaster data come from?
Statistics are drawn from CaptainCoaster's API. Because of this, some attributes may have null values, so a comparison tile occasionally lacks a clear reading.
