What is Wallpaper Connect?
Wallpaper Connect is a pair-matching board game in the Mahjong Connect style. The board is covered with tiles showing wallpaper imagery, and your job is to clear the whole board by removing identical tiles two at a time. The catch is that a pair can only be removed if you can connect the two tiles with a line that has at most two 90-degree angles. That single constraint turns a simple matching task into a puzzle about paths: tiles that look like an obvious match may be unusable until other tiles around them have been cleared. You play by selecting one tile and then selecting its identical partner; if a valid connecting path exists, the pair disappears from the board. Work through the board this way, finding pairs whose paths are currently open, until no tiles remain.

Your first round
- Look over the board and find two identical wallpaper tiles with a short, mostly open route between them.
- Click or tap one of the two tiles to select it.
- Click or tap the matching tile; if a path with at most two 90-degree angles connects them, the pair is removed.
- If the pair could not be connected, pick a different pair whose path is currently open and remove that instead.
- Keep removing reachable pairs, using newly opened space to reach tiles that were blocked before, until the board is empty.
Easy to miss
- A matching pair is not automatically removable: the path between the two tiles may have at most two 90-degree angles.
- Only two identical tiles can be removed at a time, so every move must be a matched pair.
- Clearing one pair can open new paths, making previously blocked matches possible later in the round.
